Strange lights appear in the sky during massive earthquake in Wellington

Residents of Wellington, New Zealand, witnessed strange flashes of light lighting up the sky above Wellington during the recent massive 7.5 magnitude earthquake.

YouTube user Zachery Bell recorded this footage on his iPhone during the quake.

He said: ” Large earthquake hit New Zealand tonight so I started recording and during the peak the sky began to light up with colours. Seen from Wellington out east over the ocean, watch in HD at 0.5X speed”

There are a number of other videos appearing on YouTube and social media sites from other witnesses.

Maybe not so much paranormal but very strange indeed.

These lights have known to appear during earthquakes what have a magnitude of 5.0 or higher.
