A pub owner got a shock when he checked the security cameras of his pub after being woken up in the middle of the night by the security alarms going off.
He believes what he captured could be proof that his pub is haunted and that it could be the ghost of the former owner of the Miners Arms in Alfreton, Derbyshire, UK
He shared his footage on social media and YouTube to see if anyone could come up with an explanation.
Pub landlord Lewis said he was at a loss to explain what happened, but regulars think the spirit of a past landlady is responsible.
He said “Personally I’m a bit of a sceptic, but customers seem to think it’s an ex-landlady.
“No one can come up with a name, but some customers say they have seen a woman’s figure.
“We’ve also had hand dryers starting by themselves and I’ve had a few things happen in the cellar like CO2 canisters, which keep the beer fizzy, being turned off.
“We have lots of bumps in the night and alarms etc going off.
“Some of it I can put down to the machines, but there are times when I can’t understand what’s going on”
Landlady Lisa is convinced its something spooky, but Lewis is keeping an open mind.
Lewis added “My wife is a firm believer but I like to look for the logical explanation.
“We have been approached by a paranormal investigation team to do a late night vigil. So will see what they come up with.”
