It was reported that he had become infected with an unknown disease after having handled the alien creature.
The incident gained international attention when three young girls, Liliane Fatima Silva, Valquiria Fatima Silva, and Katia Andrade Xavier, claimed to have seen the creature up close.
They stated that the creature was injured and appeared to be in pain. The girls claimed that they had seen the creature up close and had even touched it before it was taken away by the military.
Despite the government’s denial of any involvement, rumours continued to circulate, and the incident became a hot topic among UFO researchers and enthusiasts worldwide. Some claimed that the sightings were proof of extraterrestrial life, while others dismissed them as a hoax or a misidentification of a known animal.
