10 classic movies to watch this Halloween night

Halloween night is almost upon us once again. A time for pumpkin’s, scary costumes, trick or treating and spooky parties, but if your planning on locking the door, turning off the lights and spending a quiet night in this year then I thought I would suggest ten classic movies that you could watch to keep you in that Halloween spirit.

The Omen (1976)

Gregory Peck and Lee Rimick star in this classic scary demonic movie, the original Omen. It is reported to be one of the most cursed movies of all time.

A Nightmare on Elm Street

Wes Craven created one of the most famous horror movie villains, Freddy Kruger. After watching this film you will definitely be afraid to go to sleep.

Childs Play (1988)

Chucky, a doll possessed by a serial killer. The 1988 original will always be the best.

BeetleJuice

This comedy/horror from Tim Burton follows a dead couple who haunt their previous home along with Beetlejuice the poltergeist. This classic film will give you laughs and scares.

The Exorcist

One of the most famous horror films. A young girl is possessed by a demonic entity, her mother tries to save her through exorcism. That head spin scene!

The Blair Witch Project

One of the original “found footage” horror movies. The film follows three hikers who go on a search to find the legend of Blair Witch and disappear.

Paranormal Activity

Another found footage film. The film follows a couple being haunted in their home. All Paranormal Activity recorded on cameras around their home.

Carrie (1976)

The original Carrie movie. The Stephen King novel adaption is a cult classic. A shy teenage girl unleashes her telekinetic powers after being humiliated by her classmates.

 Hocus Pocus

A family friendly comedy film about three Salem Witches resurrected just in time for Halloween.

GhostBusters

I couldn’t leave Ghostbusters off the list. The classic spooky comedy which scared me as kid, especially that library scene!

I will also be sharing live ghost hunting streams again this Halloween if you prefer do some armchair ghost hunting.  Look out for the that post over the weekend.

Happy Halloween!
