It’s a little strange that yesterday I posted about the top ten haunted castles around the world and today I get news of footage showing a ghost riding a horse through a castle. Berkeley castle missed the top ten haunted list, maybe it should be up there now. 🙂
Thomas Arnold believes that he has filmed clear footage of a ghost knight riding a horse through the courtyard of Berkeley castle in Gloucestershire, UK.
He says that the ghost and horse are “clear as day” on the drone footage.
It was only when he reviewed his footage that he spotted the ghostly apparition galloping through the courtyard.
Thomas, a TV production technical specialist was shocked at first.
He said “I started zooming and rewinding and there was definitely something there.
“Where the footage was shot, the drone lost contact with the control, which was with me.
“I pressed the ‘return to home’ key, but it wasn’t until I got home that we noticed what I would describe as an apparition going through the courtyard.”
He added: “I have looked online and I can’t find any HD footage of a ghost so I think this is really unusual.
“It’s clear as day, in daylight and in HD. It’s brilliant.”
He told the Gloucester Live that when he spotted the ghost he checked carefully through the footage to try to find a logical explanation.
But he said that none of the chimneys were production any smoke and the wind was blowing in the opposite direction.
He said “I checked the flight information and I can’t find an explanation for it”
The castle is well known for where King Edward II was murdered in 1327 and also for where the last court jester in England died after mysteriously falling from a window.
What do you make of it?
Here is a little fact. Did you know that if you have a fear of ghosts you suffer from Phasmophobia?
