The Unexplained TikTok Videos Leaving Millions of Viewers Baffled
From strange figures caught on camera and alleged UFO sightings to bizarre footage that seem to show trees moving on their own, unexplained TikTok videos have become a seemingly endless source of mystery and debate.
Some are undoubtedly staged. Others turn out to have perfectly ordinary explanations. But every so often, a clip appears that isn’t quite so easy to dismiss, and millions of viewers end up trying to work out exactly what they are watching.
One creator who has built a sizeable audience exploring this strange corner of the internet is TikTok creator Goyah Bean, who posts under the username @goyah_bean2007.
His account has attracted more than 130,000 followers, while some of his most successful videos have been viewed more than 10 million times.
Rather than simply presenting every mysterious clip as evidence of the paranormal, Goyah narrates the footage, offers his own thoughts and then leaves viewers to reach their own conclusions.
Goyah got in touch with me and shared several of the unexplained videos he has covered and answered a few of my questions about is TikTok account, his approach to unusual footage, and why he believes mysterious videos continue to fascinate so many people.
Finding an Audience in the Unexplained
Goyah told me that his interest in strange videos existed long before his TikTok following began to grow.
“I’ve always been fascinated by creepy and unexplained stuff, especially videos that leave you with more questions than answers,” he said.
But it was the reaction from viewers that convinced him he had found his niche.
Rather than simply watching and scrolling on, people began debating the videos in the comments, proposing explanations and occasionally spotting details that Goyah himself hadn’t initially noticed.
“For me, it’s not necessarily about telling people something is real or fake,” he explained. “I like presenting the footage, giving my thoughts on it and letting the viewers decide for themselves.”
It’s an approach particularly suited to paranormal and unexplained footage, where the story behind a video can sometimes be just as mysterious as whatever appears on screen.
UFOs, Strange Figures and Moving Trees
Among the videos Goyah shared with me were clips covering several very different types of unexplained phenomena, including alleged UFO footage and some strange activity on the ground.
One particularly strange piece of footage appears to show the bizarre movement of trees, giving the impression that trees are walking or moving on their own.
As with so many viral videos, however, what appears extraordinary at first glance isn’t necessarily evidence of anything paranormal.
Perspective, editing, digital manipulation and increasingly convincing AI-generated footage can all transform something mundane into something seemingly impossible. Staged videos are another obvious possibility.
That’s part of the fun, and frustration, of investigating footage found on social media.

Another video shared by Goyah focuses on an apparent UFO sighting where UFO’s are seen shining lasers, or beams of light, down to the ground as if is scanning the area.
Unidentified objects in the sky remain one of the most popular forms of unexplained footage online, although drones, aircraft, satellites, balloons and unusual atmospheric effects can all create convincing UFO sightings when seen from the right, or the wrong angle.
Without the original footage, location, date and other supporting information, identifying exactly what appears in a short social-media video can be extremely difficult.
And Goyah acknowledges that problem.

Rather than declaring the clips as authentic, the interesting question is often simply, what are we actually looking at?
That question can generate thousands of competing answers.
Why Can’t We Stop Watching?
Goyah believes the lack of a clear answer is precisely what makes these videos so compelling.
“I think people are fascinated by the unknown because we naturally want answers to things we can’t explain,” he told me.
A video with an obvious explanation is quickly forgotten. Something perplexing is different.
Viewers replay the footage, slow it down, examine the background, the sound, and all corners, and then head into the comments to see whether somebody else has spotted something they missed.
That interaction has helped some of Goyah’s videos reach millions of viewers.
“I also try not to tell my audience what they have to believe,” he said. “I give them the footage, my perspective, and then let them debate it for themselves.”
And occasionally, he says, “the comments become just as interesting as the video.”
Anyone who has disappeared down the rabbit hole beneath a viral paranormal clip will probably recognise exactly what he means.
The Video Goyah Still Remembers
Interestingly, the clip that has stuck with Goyah the most isn’t a UFO, ghost or cryptid.
It apparently shows someone cutting into something that looks disturbingly like a human leg, even appearing to have what resembles a tattoo on the skin.
There may be a far less sinister explanation. Goyah himself suggests that it could be jamón or another type of cured meat.
But that’s exactly the sort of mystery that attracts him to these videos.
Your brain tells you there must be a rational explanation, while the images on screen create just enough uncertainty to make you look again.
It is that tiny element of doubt, Goyah says, that gets viewers talking.
Can Viral Paranormal Videos Be Trusted?
There is, of course, a major problem with investigating mysterious footage through social media.
Videos are downloaded, cropped, edited and reposted. Captions change. Context disappears. Sometimes the original uploader becomes almost impossible to find.
And with AI-generated video becoming increasingly realistic, determining whether extraordinary footage documents a genuine unexplained event is only going to become more difficult.
Goyah says he always attempts to find the original source and background to footage whenever possible.
“Sometimes that’s difficult because videos get reposted so many times that the original gets lost,” he explained.
It’s an important distinction.
A video being unexplained doesn’t automatically make it paranormal, and a clip attracting millions of views certainly doesn’t make it genuine.
Goyah says that’s something he tries to make clear to his audience.
“I never want to tell people something is definitely paranormal when I can’t prove that.”
Instead, he sees his role as telling the story, highlighting what makes a piece of footage interesting and allowing viewers to examine it for themselves.
You Decide
Perhaps that’s why unexplained videos continue to thrive on TikTok and elsewhere.
We want an answer.
Was it a UFO, or a drone?
Did something genuinely strange move between those trees, or is perspective and editing fooling our eyes?
Is a creepy figure evidence of something paranormal, or did somebody simply create an extremely good fake?
Sometimes an explanation eventually emerges. Sometimes it doesn’t.
And sometimes the mystery is far more entertaining than the answer.
