Haunting Cabin Thriller “HERMAN” To Be Presented At American Film Market
The newly unveiled trailer for debut writer/director Andrew Vogel’s chilling cabin thriller HERMAN teases a haunting descent into madness, isolation, and the unknown. The film will be presented at the American Film Market by EuroObscura this week before its North America release this December through S&R Films.

HERMAN follows a grizzled recluse whose solitary life in the woods is shattered when a dark force and a pair of desperate strangers converge on his remote cabin. As this demonic influence take hold, the boundaries between reality and nightmare dissolve, pulling him into another dimension where he must confront his own inner demons.
The film stars Colin Ward (Mark, Perry Mason) and Lawson Greyson (from Shudder’s highly anticipated V/H/S/ Halloween), delivering powerful performances in a tense, atmospheric story of psychological terror and supernatural reckoning.
Produced by Suzann Toni Petrongolo and Andrew Vogel of VP Independent (Dead Giveaway, The Dirty South), alongside Heliya Alam (A Place in the Field) of LBM Pictures, HERMAN marks Vogel’s directorial debut—merging character-driven storytelling with visceral genre filmmaking.
“In HERMAN, our title character is haunted by a monstrous entity which can only reveal itself in an alternate dimension. Beneath the surface, Herman is an exploration of psychological turmoil and the inescapable pressure of guilt. The film asks the questions: How do we face the inner demons that we don’t even fully recognize? Will the truth really set us free?”.
With its blend of slow-burn suspense, striking visuals, and metaphysical dread, HERMAN promises to be one of the year’s most talked-about independent thrillers. EuroObscura will handle international sales during the AFM.
